That Time I Got My Nails Done for $5.99 in This Economy…

Let me tell you about the Christmas party I was supposed to go to last year.

I had the dress.
I had the hair appointment.
I even had the gift wrapped and ready.

All that was left?
My nails.

I had already picked out four different Christmas press-on options from Amazon all super cute and way cheaper than a $200 holiday set. These were the exact ones sitting in my cart:

👉 Candy Cane Swirl Nails: https://amzn.to/4oqU1CJ
👉 Pink Snowflake Nails: https://amzn.to/48NvOSf
👉 Deep Green Velvet Matte: https://amzn.to/4pEUUZ7
👉 Red Glitter Holiday Glam: https://amzn.to/445YHGN

But even with all those options saved, I still booked a professional nail appointment because I wanted the “holiday glam” for the party. It was going to cost me between $150–$200, but I figured it was Christmas… so why not?

Well… a few hours before the party,
my nail tech canceled.
Like. Canceled. Last-minute.
And during Christmas season? Every other tech was fully booked.

I was staring down at my bare nails in full panic mode until I remembered those $5.99 press-ons I had saved.

I grabbed the cheapest set (I swear it was $5.99), popped them on, and prayed they didn’t look crazy.

And girl…
THEY ATE.
Everyone at the Christmas party asked where I got my nails done nobody believed they were press-ons.

So instead of paying $200?
I spent $5.99 and still showed up looking cute in all the photos.

In this economy?
Yeah… the soft girl solution is definitely press-ons.
